About.
She started serving at the Gallard Manor a few years after what they termed, "the Great Tragedy", the death of master Gallard's parents, perished on the Titanic. By then, master Gallard was already taking full control of his father's business, he had sent away his sister and lived a lonely, hard-working life. Claire learned to be quiet and to disappear without any drama, so master Gallard could always labour away and always have company as he pleased, from whom he pleased.
When he came back from the War, she honed these skills even more. Because he was alive where many men didn't have that kind of luxury or luck.
At some point, she married her happy husband, the chimney sweeper, with whom she would have children, make a home for herself outside the Gallard House that she continued to serve, loyally and devotedly - until the day when Sylvie, master Gallard's sister, was brought home from Southern France, to be close, it was said, but to whom, Claire thought.
Not to master Gallard. He preferred the theatre when he didn't prefer to be alone.
So, Claire took the young mademoiselle Gallard under her wing, the girl was naïve and a little bit helpless in her ways, the girl without a mother to teach her. Although she had children of her own, she became Sylvie's mother, too, and sometimes she had to make sacrifices, for either one of her little darlings. And if not for one, then for the other.

First impressions.
Visual. Brown hair, brown eyes, not particularly tall.
Fashion. Besides her uniform, she wears humble, subdued and much-used worker's clothing.
Demeanor. Quiet, accommodating, gentle, kind.
Aural. Speaks clearly and articulates well, due to her work. Generally speaks in a soft voice.
